12/10/2004: "Unbridled Thunder"
Breaking news! I raced in the 14th Annual Grocery Store Coin-Op Ride Semifinals!

Here's the play-by-play: Pregame disaster! Points leader Chestnut suffers a season-ending injury minutes before the starting gun!
Alternate Grogan Tumble is immediately tapped to take lane 1.
After a quick wager, Tumble is ready to go.
THE CONTENDERS - - - - - - - - Lane 1: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Lane 2: - - - - - - -
  - - - Tumble AKA Kid Deupree - - - - - Fish AKA Colonel Lightspeed - -
FIRST LAP
Tumble pulls out to an early lead. Fish seems to be getting his bearings. Sensing his lead, Tumble visibly eases up.
SECOND LAP Around the first bend, Tumble's lead evaporates!
Fish barrels ahead like a man posessed!
Fish takes the lead into the turn gaining dangerous amounts of speed.

THIRD LAP Distaster! The two race hell-bent towards record speeds, their vehicles becoming uncontrollable beasts of destruction! Their desire to win disintegrates before imminent death!

The fabric of space and time is torn into shreds!

It is revealed to Fish that we are subjective components of one universal life capable of love but bridled by fear!

During reentry from alternate temporal planes, Fish loses his position on Tumble by a length! Tumble charges ahead in the last few meters to win!
Tumble will move on to the finals in Modesto! Fish celebrates his inner discovery, having placed well out of contention! --- That's it for now. I'll write again soon! -Fish
